01 / The Narrative

Honoring Vedic Sanctity in a Pure Coastal Contemporary Frame

The Singhania family approached Event 360 with a definitive brief: create an oceanfront mandap ceremony that would blend traditional Vedic sanctity with uncluttered architectural minimalism. Rather than a dense traditional canopy that blocks the shoreline, the mandate called for unobstructed, 360-degree sunset panoramas across the Arabian Sea.

Every guest seat was laser-calibrated along an amphitheatrical crescent on Cavelossim’s sand bed, ensuring sightlines centered the couple against the golden solar descent at precisely 18:24 IST.

02 / Structural Engineering

Taming Tidal Wind Loads & Ambient Sunset Shifting

Deploying a heavy hardwood structure on soft ocean sand requires rigorous soil compaction and subterranean ballast plates anchored 1.8 meters beneath the sand line. The canopy was wind-engineered to deflect gusts up to 34 knots while preserving the whisper-soft flutter of sheer silk drapery.

“The ocean mandap was not just an installation; it felt like a dream woven into the Goan horizon. Watching the sunset through the floral arches while our guests gasped in awe is a memory we will treasure forever.”
